A little mod help?

Postby Essention » Fri Mar 24, 2017 5:38 pm

So I'm trying to create a custom intro for my BIT.TRIP mod. I converted the video into a .ogv file and everything. But when I launch the game, it closes out. And when I remove the file from the folder, the audio I made for it works perfectly fine! Am I missing a step? I'm still a mod-maker in training so...

UPDATE: I found a way but when I open the game, the timing is off and it's all green.

UPDATE X2: Alright, I converted the file in a different program. The game doesn't crash now but the screen is black.

UPDATE X3: I exported it again in a different program than the last. The timing is right but it's still green!

Bump? Not sure...? I've really been having trouble. Is it the way I'm encoding the .OGV file? I used a plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro. Should I use something else?

Sorry for the delayed reply! I discussed the issue with Ryan and it looks like it may be an encoding issue with the video. He suggested this tool to encode the video: http://v2v.cc/~j/ffmpeg2theora/

Let me know if you run into any other issues!

How do I install this thing? Is there an application?

I think I figured out how to use it... But when I tried it, I got the same result. Green-blue and off-sync.

When you convert the video, are you trying to convert your .OGV file with the tool, or are you trying to convert your original (not-OGV) video with the tool? What format is the original video in?

Original video. It was an mp4 file.

I tried encoding the ogv file and I get "broken file, keyframe not correctly marked".
